Louis & Lindsay (1979)
Shortly after she was born on October 3, 1979 (6 lbs. 2 oz.). After the loss of our first son exactly 10 months prior, we were both so happy. Louis looks tired because I was in labor for days, In fact, I went in labor in Atlanta and flew back to San Francisco wearing a big coat! It was still another 2 days before she was born, with the last 24 hours in hard labor. But I gave birth with no epidural, gas, or episiotomy. I had done it with my stillborn son in December 1979 and with my healthy son three years later. I wouldn't recommend it.
