McCall Murder Suspect Granted Bail

We had a major setback recently when the lead detective in Louis' murder case, Lt. Brian Harris, was deployed to Iraq.  This is the second time that he's been there since 2003.  As a result of his unexpected absence, murder suspect Marques Clair, was granted a bail of $150,000 on December 7, 2007.  Of course he is considered innocent until proven guilty so he is entitled to the right of a speedy trial.  This, in spite of the fact that he went on the run when he was indicted for felony murder on January 18th.  (He was recaptured in late April.)  Although we are eager to get this case to trial, we want Lt. Harris to return home to his family safe and sound.  Too bad criminals with long record aren't sent to war!  Please keep Lt Harris in your prayers.
