A song from Con Funk Shun's "Spirit of Love' album, released in 1979, was sampled on rapper Lil Wayne's much-anticipated new CD. The tune "How You Like Me Now" used a sample of "Honey Wild", written by me, Louis, and Danny Thomas, Due to a "leak", Universal Records is reconsidering putting out the album. But the song, also called "Kush" and "Smoke That Kush" is all over the internet on YouTube and numerous mix tape download sites. Danny and I are pretty excited about the song. Old school meets new school! Plus I have been a big fan of Lil Wayne and the Cash Money Millionaires since their debut in 1997. My Atlanta street team, the Rhyme Scene Unit, worked some of their early product. I love Mannie Fresh!
